MNB Mamman, Maj.-Gen. Tonye Numbere, Maj.-Gen. JD Omali, Brig.-Gen. SN Bitrus, Brig.-Gen. AO Olajimedi, and Brig.-Gen. KF Suleiman.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, praised their meritorious service, saying, “We, their colleagues still serving, will continue to remain loyal, dedicated, disciplined, and professional.”
The generals served for over three decades, with some serving as mentors to junior officers. Maj.-Gen. Philip Eremosele (Rtd) thanked the President and COAS for the opportunity to serve, urging serving officers to remain loyal and dedicated in addressing security challenges.
The rowing-out ceremony at the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering (NASME) in Makurdi, Benue State, featured a parade and a symbolic boat ride across River Benue, marking the end of their military careers.
