Bandits abducted passengers on the Obajana road in Kogi State yesterday, targeting two commercial 18-seater buses. One bus managed to escape, but all passengers on the intercepted vehicle were taken away by the attackers. The military responded quickly, engaging the bandits in a gun duel and securing the area.
This incident is part of a growing security concern in Nigeria, with multiple abductions reported in recent weeks, including the kidnapping of over 300 students and staff from a Catholic school in Niger State.
