27 Rivers House of Assembly members never defected, It’s Fubar’s plan to Remove us, Amaewhule

Reacting after a suit seeking the removal of 27 members of the Rivers State House of Assembly was dismissed by a court in Abuja.

The leader of the 27 lawmakers, Martins Amaewule said he and the 26 other lawmakers never switched to another political party. We were elected under the PDP and remained loyal to the party. He also said the attempts to remove them from office are driven by Governor Sim Fubara.

In Amaewhule’s words: “27 of us in the Rivers House of Assembly (HoA) never moved to any other party. What you see are mere plans by Governor Fubara to remove us from office”.

The court’s decision confirmed that these lawmakers had not defected from their party, the PDP, contrary to claims.

Amaewule made this public declaration In a live TV show monitored by Symfoni TV from 1:46.

It would be recalled that Gov. Fubara has been engaging the 27 Rivers lawmakers in a political rift over the purported defection through legal means.
