Nigerian sensation Victor Osimhen delivered a brilliant performance in Galatasaray’s 3-1 win over Goztepe, marking his 50th game for the club with a goal. Osimhen’s strike in the first half equalized the score after Goztepe took the lead, and his team capitalized on the numerical advantage after Goztepe’s defender received a second yellow card. Gabriel Sara and Mauro Icardi sealed the win with goals in the 63rd and 67th minutes, respectively.
Osimhen’s goal not only showcased his skill but also equaled the record held by his manager, Okan Buruk, for most goals scored by a Galatasaray player, with 43 goals. This impressive display highlights Osimhen’s value as a striker and his potential to lead Nigeria to the 2026 World Cup. His consistent form will be crucial for the Super Eagles’ success in the upcoming playoff matches.
