The House of Representatives in Nigeria is calling for the arrest of those responsible for the recent attack on police officers in Bauchi, which left five officers dead and two injured. The incident, which occurred in Sabon Sara village, Darazo Local Government Area, has raised concerns about security in the region.
The Bauchi State government has denied reports that the attack was carried out by bandits, instead attributing it to a community conflict. The police have confirmed the deaths of DSP Ahmad Muhammad, ASP Mustapha Muhammad, Inspector Amarhel Yunusa, Inspector Idris Ahmed, and Corporal Isah Muazu.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, has visited the scene and assured the public that efforts are underway to track down the attackers and bring them to justice.
